Host: A. Nolin
Anne Nolin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geosciences of Oregon State University, Corvallis, where she heads the Mountain Hydroclimatology Research Group. She is also the Associate Director of the OSU Water Resources Graduate Program. Her research fields spans snow hydrology, polar climatology, the Martian polar ice caps, application of air and satellite remote sensing to snow and glaciers and the effects of climate change on the latter. She has been involved in several research projects for NASA, was an Expert Reviewer for the Working Group I contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and is a Member of the Space Studies Board of the US National Academy of Science. Anne Nolin is joining the EPFL on 1 November 2009. Over 8 months she will put forward semester and master projects and give a lecture at master level during the spring term 2010. |
